Meet the Team: Chris Peoples

Chris Peoples’ involvement with Padgett Construction runs deep, as he has now served the company for more than three decades.

“I love the variety of work we do and the people we work with,” said Chris, who became a Padgett staff member in 1987 while earning a degree in Business Administration from the University of Kentucky. “During my time with Padgett, I’ve never built the same thing twice; it’s all one-of-a kind,” he explained.

Over the years, Chris has worked his way up from project manager, to Vice President, and now President and partner. He has a high level of expertise in managing high-end custom construction projects and helping his clients achieve their dreams.

Chris said one of his greatest accomplishments is the respect he has earned from both subcontractors and clients due to the quality of projects he has produced.

“We’ve done projects on a variety of different properties, including many farms,” Chris said. “In all my years, we’ve never had to go back and re-do anything over again. I think that says a lot about our work.”

Chris has been married to his wife, Ann, for 25 years and has two college-aged daughters. A longtime resident of Lexington’s south side of town, he enjoys boating, fishing, and traveling to Hilton Head Island with his family.

As a partner in Padgett, Chris sees a bright future for the company as it continues to grow and flourish. “We have been treated well as Padgett employees,” Chris said. “I think that taking good care of your employees translates well into producing good work. I plan to continue that trend.”
